A linked player is one that has been on the same club squad as both
players. Even if they have not started a game together, the link still
be counted.
Adding national team links into this game would make it too easy to find the links. A greater challenge is to limit it to strictly club-level links.

Our algorithm that chooses the two players you must link is completely randomized. We will continue adding players to the game to create more unique for games.
